Carly's Bananas Goes to Europe

I spent a glorious 2+ weeks of summer in a few different countries in Europe.  Needless to say, it was really wonderful.  In addition to seeing some beautiful cities, buildings, art, and faces, I also was low key on the look out for, you guessed it, bananas.  Honestly a small reason I was so excited for this jaunt was envisioning the awesome blog posts I'd have when I returned: bananas on EUROPEAN sidewalks. Can you say sophistiquĂ©?

Well guess what?  I didn't see one.  Like not. a. single. banana. peel.  You would Europe! You would have pristine cities with sidewalks that people care about enough not to litter on, not to mention healthier populations that probably aren't even scarfing huge starchy fruits on the go anyway.  You would.

So, part way through the trip I gave up on scanning the sidewalks (I also may have had more interesting things I should've been looking at- for once in my life) and decided to capture all the man-made banana paraphernalia I could.  These pictures are the result.

Chocolate-covered super fake tasting banana bits from Vienna.  But did I mention chocolate-covered?

I know it's hard to read ok but it's a café in France called......Le Banana's! Not sure about the possessive apostrophe just don't ask questions.

Cute banana peel art on a step in France, right? Cute.

Just a barrel of banana-shaped marshmallows, you know.

I don't know who or what "Wolfrum" is, but I'd like to think s/he loved bananas too.

With that, the banana-centric memories of my trip have been told for all to hear.  Back to hopefully more regular postings of SF's dirty, busy, banana-filled streets soon.
